Hi All .

I have been looking at different techniques that modellers use for creating walls and structures
But is there a technique for creating Flush Glazed windows for Loco's or other rolling stock..

Moulds are easy enough to make but is there a plastic that can be cast as clear

Regards

***You will have great difficulty casting such things. Absolute clarity is essential... .and unless its very thin it'll look a bit naff.

The best way is the hard way - cut and file to exact shape using a very thin clear plastic, then install them with a water clear type varnish as a glue.... Its not as hard as it sounds.

I do have some perfect scale thickness glass I bought ex USA some time ago - its amazing how much better it looks in a coach or building than plastic but it is truly difficult to cut without breaking... and being so thin, its quite fragile as you might imagine (much, much thinner than a microscope slide)

The option is Laser cutting of course...
