Pete, sorry if I seem to be messing you about but I've just realised the advice I offered in my earlier post was absolute rubbish

What I meant to say was this:

The only way I could get the body off was to remove the buffer and beam moulding (obviously), then slide some thin brass shim (thin plasticard will probably do) between the body and the chassis along each side to hold the body clips off the chassis before GENTLY levering the body off the chassis. If you look under each end of the model once the buffer beams have been removed you'll see a gap between the body and the chassis just above where the buffer beam normally fits. As the 'tightness' stopping the body from coming off appeared to be in the four corners it's was here I used a small thin bladed screwdriver to gently prise the body off, alternating from end to end until the body came free. There was some minimal scratching to the black finish on the chassis but the body was unharmed.
