Heljan Falcon buffers

After a long wait I now have my two Falcons back with replacemnet chassis (thank you Hattons) and I now can fit the low profile buffer beam for want of a better discription.

However how do you swap the buffers over? There dosen't seem to be a way to do this and the booklet isn't very helpful. That's to say take the buffers from the deep buffer bean and fit them to low profile buffer beam.

Also on a related note I've somehow ended up with two extra body shells! Most strange. and a two extra sets on detail bits.

Answer: you can't - at least, not without using force and losing the springing on the buffers. Heljan should have provided new buffer beams complete with the sprung buffers already fitted. Check those bags of extras you got, they might be in there.

Thanks. That's what I suspected. Heljan haven't thought this through all that well have they?
I chose not to have the chassis upgraded and simply drilled out the holes for the buffer beam mountings. I emailed Howes in Kidlington (as Heljan UK agents) and asked for some replacement buffer beams with buffers fitted and they duly responded with a small package contining several new buffer beams complete with sprung buffers. Excellent service and no quibbles.

Thanks for this. I e-mailed Howes on Monday and the package turned up on Wednesday. As you say 'excellent service'. This is how things should be.
