Just joined today after lurking for a bit.

I've been in model railways since I was given a cousin's Hornby O gauge clockwork when about 10 and have recently retired.
I had various Hornby Dublo 3 rail layouts while at school.

I have since gathered a few British OO models but my main interests are USA HO (Union Pacific steam and diesel) and Swiss HO electric.

A roundy-round portable UP layout is currently being upgraded and converted to DCC with some sound which I find rather addictive.

Hope to share some experiences with you people as things progress.

Welcome to the forum Alex,

Thankfully Neil lowered the tone first.

Personally I model British and continnental, both in HO and a bit of O/16.5 German so don't be worried about what you ask.

Regards

John

Hi Bigboy/Alex! Welcome! One of the appealing aspects of this forum is it's international flavour - more Continental than North American but hopefully with time that will change!
