I am fitting plug to my engines ready for dcc chips
some of the 125 hst engines have lights
when I test them with dcc chip lights work fine
at this time only have one dcc chip
is there a link that can be filled when using
8 pin to work lights just till I get dcc chip
for all
Many thanks if someone can help

If I understand correctly what you are asking for, then a 'DCC 8 pin blanking plug' is probably the simplest option. This comes in the 8 pin socket of RTR locos supplied 'DCC ready' so that they will run on DC.

But with the blanking plug inserted, when given DC power not only will whatever lights are fitted light up, (direction dependent of course as applicable) but the motor will also run. If you only want the lights to work, then either chop off one of the motor supply pins (pin 1 orange wire, pin 2 grey wire) or disconnect / cut a motor supply wire, your choice.

I would like train to ran and head lights to work at same time when train is going forward
But with blank plug in 8 pin socket train runs fine
But no head lights. I have one 8 pin blank plug
That works lights . It is not the same as the new
Ones I have just ordered old one works lights
New blank plugs don't. I was hoping all i need
Is to put a link in to the new blank plug
Till I get dcc 8 pin decoders

OK, that means your new blanking plugs only bridge pins 1 + 8, and 4 + 5, so track power only reaches the motor.

If you compare to the blanking plug that does work the lights, you should see that pins 1+2 +8, and 4+5+6 are bridged. The pins 2 (yellow) +6 (white) are for the lighting circuit. If you can solder in the links yourself to make them live that'll get the lights working on DC, until you have some 8 pin decoders to install.
