I have been trying to contact Hereford Models over the past few days and cannot get any contact by phone or email. Are they still operating as their website is also gone?

Hi Vespa
Just been online and the website for Hereford Model Centre is there and operating. Have your phones/broadband been down?

They are still advertising in the latest (April ) Railway Modeller and Hornby magazines:
www.herefordmodels.co.uk 01432 352809 or 07816 352809

Regards,
John Webb
They were still there last time I went past 10:40 am Sun 11/03/2012
They were at Wyre Forest show yesterday ( and today) with an enormous amount of stock...including every heljan railbus and Class 23.
Quite a lot of seconhand stuff as well.
It's the Wyre Forest show today

Oh
I forgot

Anyway - yes, they're still in business; the website is never much use, unfortunately, phoning them (when not at a show !) or calling in is the best bet.

Nice people.

I am pleased that they are there. Great shop and so friendly. web address (email) still useless though and the website unavailable. If you live near will you please tell them.
Sorry I have only just seen this thread.

I was in there yesterday. Good shop but slightly crazy!

I bought from them online last week!

There is/was a slight problem with their checkout on the address line (for me it will only accept house number on 1st line and street on 2nd).
I emailed them about the problem and they responded very quickly.

My goods came next day!

In which case they should register here, they'd fit right in

I can now connect via internet explorer only and not by Firefox browsers. I am running add ons that block ads and ghost tracking. This site runs 4 ghost trackers and Hereford models must have some kind of detection in their website that diverts it to another website.
Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I have been trying to contact Hereford Models via their website and via email and I am not getting a reply.

Are they still in business ? If so, it seems like email contact is still a problem 10 years later!
Graham - current website in the latest issue (July) of Railway Modeller is: www.herefordmodels.com
e-mail: [email protected]

I'm a bit surprised by the differences in the two addresses!

Thanks John, the email I had was from emails sent by their website when you place an order: [email protected] which is even different to what you have!
I'll try the address you quoted - many thanks.

I often have to teach clients about this: make sure all your website and email addresses are consistent everywhere, including your 'About' page and any emails that your website sends out as well as 'reply to' addresses. You'd be surprised at the number of organisations who send out emails that have invalid reply-to addresses and therefore, can't be replied to!
Graham - apologies - I inserted an accidental full stop between 'hereford' and 'model' in the '[email protected]' address. It should read as you have it, having double-checked the advert.

Thanks John.

Even with the correct email address, I'm not getting replies. Also tried my alternate email address in case my regular address was getting classified as junk/filtered, but to no avail.

Seems I can't contact them at all.

Can someone else try contacting them and see what happens ? Let them know that I'm trying to contact them.

Quite often, it is unfortunately, people in my profession (who shouldn't be) who fail to set things up properly that causes these kinds of problems!
Graham - rang them this morning on your behalf. They instantly recognised your name! Your e-mails have been received and one order is, I gather, on its way to you. The other order they are not certain they can currently fulfil and may be in contact with you about that.

Many many thanks John - much appreciated - I owe you an Amber Nectar!

They still haven't emailed me though!
My pleasure! Have the 'Amber Nectar' yourself - regrettably I can't drink any alcohol these days as it upsets the gut.
