Hello fellow model railroaders,

a long time member of marklin-users.net, i have been strongly adviced by (your) E. Baykal to join you too.

a computer programmer (core java) by profession, i'm one of the lucky fellas to receive a Maeklin set when i was 3 yrs old

i lived abroad for many years and been livin in Istanbul for the last 4. i'm into all eras except 5th: layout 2-3-4, and collect 1 and 2 (old and new stuff). special interest in strange lokos i.e. Franco-Crosti, V120, Glaskasten (i plan to build even stranger ones).

i established a website and forum 3 months ago devoted to mrr and especially Maerklin (of course) - in Turkish but visiting won't hurt: www.marklinciyiz.biz (means: maerkliners.weare).

so here i am.

best regards,

cem.

Welcome to the forum Cem,

I hope you won't be dissappointed with what you find here.

Hi Cem,

Welcome aboard, you might find a few Maerkliners around here too.

Cem is a devoted Maerkliner, and he is relentlesly trying to persuade me to convert.

Have a good time.

Baykal

I'm sure there are a few others who have Marklin envy but just have not come out of the closet as yet.

Hi Cem. Welcome!

I suppose you subscribe to the theory that Marklin users are "stud" muffins!

Seriously it's good to have such diversity as this forum has.

What's a stud muffin?
It sounds a bit rude.

Neil hi,

a stud muffin is "a sexually attractive (and often sexually active) young man" according to the internet dictionary.

and "ozwarrior"; i'd say it depends, if you're into 2 rail HAMO that might not be the case
and i appreciate the fact that you guys here like such diversity although i have been strongly warned by Baykal against your "heated" discussions

regards,

cem.
