Well guys I am getting quite an education.
It is a very touchy subject and I am very impressed with all the comments and information written by such level headed people.
It did not know about the War Museum display or the German Laws on the subject for example.
Best regards,
Bryan.

QUOTE I have a DVD with archival film of the Henschel-Wegmann-Zug which shows Mr.Stainier and a large group visiting the DRG in 1934.It even shows them in the Glass railcar.

Do you know where I can get a copy of this? Like the pictures by the way.

My two cents worth is that prototypical accuracy is not worth offending people over and this is an area which, as been said previsoulsy was no joke. I think younger people of my generation and younger tend to forget how close WW2 was and that this symbol still does cause fear and alarm to many. I certainly don't want to be offering any encouragement to neo nazis however unintentionaly.

I obtained my DVD from Amazon.de.Documentaries.
Go to Eisen-u Schienenbahnen under DVD.
DVD is from Bahn Extra Video."Die Reichsbahn in den 30er-Jahren".PAL region2.50 minutes.
Historische Aufnahmen 1935-1943.
The films are from the from Archiv of Friedrich Röhrs. They look to be 16mm judging by the grain.
Particular interest is footage of the British engineers on a visit.
There are a lot of Reischs Hakenkreutz on the Wappen flapping about on the films!
By the way Japanese word for flag is the German loan word "Wappen".
Auf weidersehen.
