Whilst sitting waiting at the level crossing in Deal this evening, around 7pm, The new Javilin high speed train trundled past going towards Ramsgate. Looks very sleek. Though what it was doing down this neck of the woods I dont know! Perhaps someone on here does?

I believe ramsgate has a new facility for servicing, but could be wrong, not sure where I heard that. I've seen one going through folkestone over the viaduct myself.

Indeed it has - several million quids worth.

Shame they cant spend several million quid doing up the rest of Ramsgate.... Oh silly me they did....on the shopping centre at Westwood......now Ramsgate really needed THAT!

You want to see Margate - er no, you don't. At lunchtime today one bar got really busy, they had a kitchen fire and the local brigade outnumbered the customers!

Oh dear, while photographing a bridge, a Javelin snuck up on me, however owing to anti vandal measures this is the best I could manage. Careful srutiny will reveal a pantograph, but I suppose it proves they are out there. Incidentally this train was two units.

Better luck next time!

I understand commissioning of these units is going so well they could enter service early- perhaps as early as this summers timetable. Do they have any branding yet?

Incidentally Hornby showing off their new 395 on their youtube channel. Looks very nice

Something you don't know - one for the book "

Anyway, I've just realised it was your excitement of seeing the Javalin go through Westgate Station the other Saturday that got you in trouble with Maggie !
