Hornby BR 2-8-0 Class 2800 now available

The latest weathered version of the GWR freight stalwart in BR livery is now available at Hornby retailers. The R2465 BR Class 2800 loco has a smoke generator and a glowing smokebox visible when in motion. The loco is tender driven which allows the detail under the boiler to be an accurate representation. The loco is ideal for those who model the late 1950's period and this is the first weathered example of the loco by Hornby so "dirty" modellers will be happy:-

That is an ugly loco - it looks bent and buckled with its long, tapered boiler, squared firebox and short cab.

But as I like ugly locos, I'd love to get one to review so watch this space - you just may see one in all its glory.
