Hornby DCC and Blueline locos

Having installed a Bachmann 3 function decoder on to a Blueline loco. Changed the address on the sound and installed chip. Operated on any of the Hornby DCC controllers a beeping sound is herd from the loco when it is moving but not when it is idling. The sound is not synchronised with the movement. However when it is operated by a Lenz DCC it is perfect. Also it operates fine on DC. Any ideas?

My guess would be speedsteps. Loco set to 128 , controller 28/14 or something like that.

Its more likely something to do with Hornby's less than perfect DCC signal
