Thats great and sounds similar to mine so not much distortion over the web. You do get a real sense of power when the loco chuffs off pulling a rake of coaches and listening to the noise build up
I've been running the Duchess in analogue mode also using a 12V DC controller and can confirm that you get identical F1 sound. The decoder autodetects which type of control you are operating with and adjusts the settings as required.
What the video does not highlight are the sounds of coal shovelling and boiler pressure release valve hissing every so often and the intervals at which this occurs changes depending on the speed setting. All clever stuff and well thought out on the part of Hornby.
