Gary has produced a fine review of the Hornby Digital Mixed Goods Train Set.

These are probably the first images of Hornby's Digital Select system that are not pre-production mock-ups or computer generated graphic images. I'm looking forward to testing this myself in a few weeks.

I'm missing the point of this 'discovery', but I maybe glazed due to solving this with DCC quite a few years back?

What was the DC problem?

With DCC this is a no-brainer, but if the inner circuit is wired with reverse polarity (because of a reversing loop perhaps), it could cause a problem. A reversing module soon fixes it though.

Well this is what we have been trying to say for 10 years now. Perhaps we haven't explained ourselves clearly enough...

I have a couple of push-button switches on my panels that I'm constructing that 'make' a circuit between terminal 'E' of the CDE booster terminal and 'M' of the LMAB XpressNet BUS.

I'm also thinking of installing a super-duper big red emergency stop button that I have (twist to restart). This would physically cut the DCC connection to the track. Good for kids to use in case of problems. They may not find the right keys on the cab or hold them long enough.
