Hi guys I wonder if anyone can help me I’m trying to remove a ring field motor from its plastic frame on the tender of a 1980’s Hornby king has anyone got a clue how to separate them
Thanks
Steve
The motor frame is clipped into the tender chassis frame.

On assembly, the locomotive end is inserted first, then the rear end is pushed down until it clips into place.

The two weight blocks are then screwed into place.

After removing the weight blocks, a largish flat blade screwdriver can be inserted between the rear of the motor block and the inside of the rear of the tender chassis frame.

Carefully lever the tender chassis frame away from the motor block while imparting some upwards force onto the rear of the motor block.

The lug is only about 1 to 2 mm deep.

It does take some force.
