Guys how hard is it to get Hornby magazine in Oz. I've ben trying to get it through my newsagent for a couple months but he dosen't seem to be able to get it. Is there anyone else here i Oz gets the magazine through their local newsagent or does it all have to be done by subscription.

Hi Charles,

it is an absolute mission to find it here mate. I have seen only two copies here at a specialist newsagent in central Melbourne. That's it. I subsrcribed because it was quite readable and reckon it's the best way to go in terms of getting it.

cheers

Hi Charles
It may not be much help (bragging rights I suppose)
, but my newsagent in Werribee (Vic) has copies of Hornby Magazine.
They also stock Railway Modeller, Model Rail, Model Railway Jounal, British Railway Modelling,
There is also 5 or 6 UK prototype magazines, several American and Australian model and prototype magazines. Their is even a European magazine. There must be quite a few modellers and rail buffs in my area but they seem very hard to find.

Cheers Manfred

Thanks guys for the replies. It would appear that my newsagent forgot to tick the appropriate box when he ordered the mag. I should get mine next month.

Hi Charles,

I bought the first issue from a newsagent across town in Bendigo Vic. I don't usually go to there, but bought the first one to see what it was like. I was hooked. I went to the newsagency closest to me to order it every month. They could not find it listed on their computer and asked if I could bring it in, so they could read the codes for who the distributor was.
So now I have a standing order and they get an extra copy to sell in the magazine stand.
The details on the price sticker are: issue 1: BDS issue 18: W08 NW 2T Your newsagency will have to know the distributor to order you a copy.
Hope this helps Charles

regards
Mark
After my comment yesterday morning I went into MacGills at lunchtime and lo and behold there was Hornby magazine.
