Just received this loco (SirKay) but there are no instructions for fitting the decoder. I've managed to get the chassis off and plug in the decoder but where do I stow the the decoder itself?

Also on each side of the valve gear there is a strut that goes up to the chassis - both these have come undone and I can't see how to refit them.

It's been an unproductive afternoon!

There is a slot in the weight inside the smokebox. It will only take a fairly small decoder though and it would be wise to use the insulating sleeve that Hornby include with the locomotive. Alternatively, you could try the TCS DP2X-UK decoder and plug it in - no wires at all!

Thank you both for your advice, so my LokPilot decoder is too big!!!!!

Yes I did mean a King Arthur and not a Lord Nelson.

I have found how to put the valve gear back as I found 2 v.small pins on my work surface that obviously keep them in place, all I have to do now is relocate them!

I was lurking on this topic waiting for the helpful replies I knew would come as I too have an N15 that needs a decoder. Thanks SRman and Mike D - also randolph for raising the question.
