Not too sure what the DCC means. Clearly locos are DCC ready but are they going to have pre fitted chips?

There are 3 brand new digital sets and the new Hornby Digital system does look pretty simple to use.

And the Skaledale range gets ever better and larger with a complete canal system and a complete road and sign system!

Pity hornby haven't seen fit to model any super detail SR coaches to go with all those loco's. Still I see they have taken on board a lot of well documented requests about what to model. I notice the live steam releases are very thin on the ground was this just an expensive fad?

Presumably the new releases are going to run alongside last years models of the A3 and 4. I notice they seem to release 4 different versions at once on new steam models and 3 on diesel.

Hornby website still not showing any news at 01:15am.

There will probably be some "specials" for sets and train packs available through the big chain stores so its best to keep eyes peeled.

There may well be further news at the London Toy Fair later this month.

I do understand that the 2006 Hornby catalogue is almost twice the size of the 2005 edition!

Happy modelling
