Hi all.
I enclose, without comment, a genuine e-mail received from a friend today, Dec 1st;

I made a phone call to Hornby today. Bad news I'm afraid - they will
not be producing the Schools or the T9 until next year as they have
had a lot of trouble in China. Presumably they are on the high seas
at this moment, but will not be making landfall till after Christmas.
Looks like they've shot themselves in the foot, or maybe even in the
chest, as regards Christmas. I never thought I'd say this, but thank
God for Bachmann! So maybe 2010 for the Standard Class 4...... or
will that turn up before everything else?

What do you all think of that?

Hello David, no, I have no evidence to back this up, but I have no doubt that the phone call was made, there would be no point in making it up. The friend in question is, like me and many others, waiting patiently for both of these locos to be released because we want to buy them.
If you do want to check the veracity of this, I would respectfully suggest you phone Hornby yourself, and if you get a different answer I'd be most interested to hear it.
