Hello all and happy new year.
The Hornby T9 is a beautiful model and Hornby deserve much praise for such a fine model, BUT, there is a glaring fault with the six wheel tender version inasmuch as the the tender chassis has been fitted the wrong way round. The giveaway is that the guardirons, which should be at the outer end, are behind the steps at the loco end of the chassis. Drawings demonstrating this have recently been published in the Hornby magazine.
I couldn't believe that such an error could be made, and I hope that Hornby will be correcting the error in subsequent versions of this otherwise excellent model.

I understand Hornby have been made aware of the problem and will be responding in due course.
Good job my version (30310) has the 8 wheel water cart!

You said it Barry, both mine are the BR watercart tender version, and, wonder of wonders, the guardirons are on the right place on the tenders.
