I am not the best photographer in the world but thought the forum might

That's a prairie pulling the venice simplon orient express right?
If so it must be the one owned by an englishman and with permission to run on the european railway network...

Fortunately there is very little H & S regs followed where the pix was taken..

You can almost feel the rumble of the train and feel the heat.

Very little of this stuff in the sod though a few of the Iarnród Eireann guys hve a working steam loco and crriages and do occasional trips (a few times a year). Must dig up the photos of a christmas trip we took on it a few years ago.

Great stuff. A trip along the coast and a glass of mulled wine.

I dont think it was pulling the orient express. i saw the loco last year when it first arrived in wolztyn.

Its not just an 83 lookalike. it is an 83 that was made for export. it has been recently "restored" to BR electric blue!

You could not make it up - the Prairie took a chance on the water situation with the OL49 doing the work

yea thats right..It actually did some kind of tour of europe and ended up pulling the orient express.

As an aside didn't a Terrier attend a function somewhere in the Benelux countries a few years ago?
