In the forum Hornby Forum - Current Issue its stated that issue 11 has arrived today!

Yet in the issue 10 magazine it states on page 4 "Published on the second Friday of each month preceding the cover date." and page 5 states "The next issue of the Hornby Magazine will be on sale on April 11th. Don't miss it!"

So my question to the editor is..
Why have some received their copy at least 48 hours before the set publication date?
OK, its a subscription user, but it's still being published before the set date which gives those who subscribe an unfair advantage, especially if any special offers from advertisers are to be acted upon.

Guess it's a subscription for me now, as I really like the mag.

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the question.

The magazines are, sometimes, distributed a little early, so subscribers do receive their copies earlier than shops. However, this is one of the good points of subscribing, but equally we do find that WH Smiths often places copies on sale before the official publication date, but we never guarantee that the magazine will be on sale before its publication date.

Hope that clears the mystery up.

Thanks for that Mike - it explains why I normally get my copy on the Thursday.
