Maybe the motors from some of the Faller road system vehicles would fit?

One little railway operation I have a high interest in was the use of jeep trains by Aussie troops in Bouganville during WW2. So I made a start on one today by changing the wheels of one of my wargaming jeeps to rail wheels. Now just need some crew, rollingstock and a section of track through the jungle for it.

And here it is sitting on my diorama of Autieul station on the Aramac line. Yes that makes it the wrong gauge, but it is all I have at the moment.
