Jinty tank engine - side number size

Depends where the prototype was last 'shopped', LMR works - 8 inches, NER/ER - 10 inches, WR/SR - 9 inches.
One example ( cant remember which) was out shopped at Darlington, and had it's number central on the tank side, over or under(?) the crest,I saw it at Crewe South shed.

***Hornbys Jinty isn't a very accurate model compared to the Bachmann, but this image should give you a clue as to how it looked in general "lettering wise". A quick bit of "google research" will find you many Jinty images online.... this one is from the Wiki on the LMS Jinty.

Standard NEReg practice on ex LNER locos , and the number would be under - the ER putnumbers on the bunker side. Presumably Darlington rarely got hold of a Jinty
