Does anyone here have any experience of using the new release of JMRI to program Hornby decoders (the latest versions with red dot) via an Elite?
I'm on 1.3 Firmware and the PC connects fine to the Elite. The JMRI can see the Elite fine. Using Decoder Pro it gives the ability to say you want to program a Hornby decoder...
I'm not clear if I have to be on the Main or Prog track for this to work. I'm also not sure if I can read CV's back from the Hornby Decoder...
Am I trying something that is not possible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated - I'd love to be able to use Decoder Pro to program my decoders.
Thanks
Phil

***As far as I know the red dot decoder still does not support readback. There will be another software upgrade for the hornby decoder soon which I understand will have a yellow dot - whether this will readback or not I do not know.

The Hornby decoder will from memory only allow CV1, 3, 4 and 29 to be modified anyway... so unfortunately there will be very limited benefit from JMRI in this case as nothing to enhance performance quality can be achieved!

Richard - thanks.
I know about the limited CV's of the Hornby chips...but I also have about 10 Lenz Silvers (in Heljans mostly) and these will have more tweakability I guess?
Anyone tried these with an Elite+JMRI?
