Trouble in the boardroom is never a good thing. I hope it gets sorted out because I really like their product. I better see what additional structures I need and purchase them sooner rather than later.

Dennis, supplies of Kibri in the UK have been increasingly spasmodic and some retailers have had difficulty getting deliveries. The company has been considered "at risk" for over a year and I would be surprised if they survive.

This is a bit of a worry as they are a very good manufacturer. I guess I better follow Dennis and start ordering some kits pronto while they are around.

If it was the UK all Faller would have to do is wait until the firm went bust and then make the receivers an offer. I am not sure how this works in Germany.....

Business is considerably easier in the Uk than anywhere else in Europe. Look at how long the Maerklin take over lasted.

yes but that was a totally different mater. marklin was a private company. that was the problem. any one of the family could stop the deal.

In France a yogurt has been classified as a product with special status preventing it from falling into foreign ownership.

In the UK much of the tap water that we drink, the energy that we consume, the toll roads that we drive on, and the public transport that we travel on is owned by foreigners. Could you imagine the French or Germans allowing this!

The mainland euros are a funny bunch when it comes to allowing outsiders in. The Brits count as outsiders from this viewpoint yet we Brits as a nation are perfectly happy to pass the nations assets into foreign hands.

I believe that the French government sold its stake in the motorway toll networks to a Spanish company last year amid huge uproar. Since the the government really needed the money, they took the highest bid which came from the Spaniards.
