I am attempting to re-produce in oo scale the staion at wolverton

I have some of those cheapy buildings from Hornby (the ones you stick the self adhesive details on) that I can use as a basic shell. But I need advise on how to go about cutting them. I think a cutting disc in a dremel will melt rather than cut the plastic and Im not too hot with a junoir hack saw!
My plan is to use two waiting rooms stuck end to end and the pitctched roof from the booking hall. Ive mocked it up crudley and apart from a few details such as window positons its not too far from looking near how I want it.
Any advise re cutting plastic and kit bashing in general i much appreciated.

Steel rule, craft knife with a brand new blade and a self healing cutting mat might be the way to go. Also, a razor saw is far better than a junior hacksaw for modelling purposes. Like this one. http://tinyurl.com/adatm4
