hi guys,

does anybody know who makes a discovery 3, new range rover and the range rover sport in 00 gauge models. I am looking for quite a few of these models as I am basing my layout around the proposed rail link in to the solihull plant.

I have looked on cararama and modern structures in minature but neither have any

All sugestions are welcome.

I fear you are going to be out of luck on this one Alastair. The closest I could find, admittedly in HO, are models made by a firm called Grinwis, they may do 4mm versions - I don't know.

You might try www.4x4modelshop.org - they have some 1300+ Land Rover models, including ones at 1/72 scale, which is not very far from the 1/76 of 4mm scale. Some of these are Camarama models, by the way.

Dear Nick,

Yes, they have got them the wrong way round - and to make it worse I'm fairly certain the Discovery 3 is in fact a Discovery 2 - particularly from the rear windows.

Alistair,

Glad to help. I believe these cars sell in the USA at Wal-Mart for all of $2 (1 GBP!!!!). I haven't seen any in our local WM's, otherwise I'd offer to pick some up for you.

You could try EBay. I think these go under a different name here, though again I can't confirm that. Looks like someone else is discussing these cars here, sounds like they may be marketed under the "malibu internationals" brand here:

Another Forum

Cheers

Nick
