The pictures of the std class 7 that appeared in BRM certainly make it look like a good model. Though I wonder about a cetain amount picture doctoring as there doesn't appear to the regular amout of Hornby daylight under the trailing truck. If the pictures aren't doctored then yipee! finally someone has noticed that there's no daylight under the real thing. I like the look of the new drawbar too but then they've left the DCC socket in the boiler. Why not put it in the tender and fill the boiler with weight or better still cast the boiler in metal. But as with all things the pictures show a terrific model so once it comes out we'll all see how good it is compared to the old one or a DJH kit of which I have both.

Yes Neil yours is the old one like the two of mine ANZAC and Flying Dutchman. The new ones have the motor in the boiler and I suspect that it'll slip just like the real thing. On the plus side the tender will be big enough to fit sound so I'll be hacking and chopping like I did to the Bachmann 9F.
