Hi All,

I am looking for LED's to simulate gaslight in street lamps fed from a 12V supply, to give a warm glow and slight flicker ....... or as an option use a static decoder to control the flicker i would like to use them without a decoder if possible as the set up is DC for my snooker case layout, most LED's i have seen flash rather than flicker.
Any help would be appreciated.

QUOTE (Gordon H @ 2 Dec 2008, 12:30) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>There are several suppliers of LEDs who can give you the right colour or thereabouts.
For flicker, the MERG 'Gas Lamp Twinkler Kit' is what you need. It simulates the rise, fall and popping effects that such lamps (apparently) demonstrate.

Hi Gordon,
Many thanks i have looked on the MERG site and found the kit (no price) but need to join MERG to purchase it.

Thanks for the help ......... given me some food for thought it is more the warm glow rather than the flicker i was envisaging.
