Life has been a tad busy... Pc died... took ages to fathom out what the issue was.eventually tracked down to a faulty PSU.

The weather has caused me no end of leakage issues.. and only yesterday, the workshop has been re-roofed.. hopefully this will now end my leaks !

Hence my reluctance to put any of my expensive Lenz equipment in there, so all layout building stopped.

My bespoke 3 way point, also needed some attention, but that arrived back here today too

Family holidays, work, diy (or is that dyi ?) etc also took its toll on modelling time. materials however, have continued to be gathered...

Finally, doing battle with some twit

on ebay !

I am off to the GOG ( Gauge O Guild ) Expo this weekend in Telford. mostly due to the number of specialist O gauge suppliers that will be there, so I hope to pick up some bits n bats too.

Mackay Models will be showing there for the first time with the new Lenz O gauge gear.. and
Bernd Lenz himself will be present with some pre-production samples of some new wagons and hopefully the small Kof.. which I have lined up as my next purchase..

If its not too crammed, I shall post some pics on my blog.. (though, I am told this expo gets really busy ! )

For those that may be interested,
I have been busy with my Lenz O gauge Layout " Alter Lokschuppen" and made a fair bit of progress over the past few months.

The baseboards have been fixed, track has been laid, wired and tested.

Just a little more testing and fine tweaking and the modelling "proper" will begin.

With the number of updates that I make, I don't see the point in duplicating the blog within MRF. However, when there's some decent progress, I 'll remind you that I am still around

Know what you mean about 2-wires only for DCC, yes you can manage with 2 on a simple layout, but when you look under St.Laurent..............

You are so right, these models are simply fantastic right out of the box..but even these will be improved upon, with weathering and some additional detailing.

I could never build a metal loco kit, its beyond my skill level, and even if I could, I could never achieve the standard of finish, running quality of these lovelies.. with digital sound, lighting and of course, auto coupling.

My passion is for the creation of the scene, dream't up from the imagination and making it into a 3d working model.. where I can escape to enjoy "life therapy" after work, and family issues of life.

I enjoy the photography as much as the modelling, indeed, they fit hand in glove, that said, the digi camera, has to be my biggest critic, so I tend to see and accept its criticism !

I shall keep you posted of the progress.

A busy few days...the lokshed area levels and track infills now completed, all bar a little filler here n there.

Thoughts turned to lokshed planning and a mock up made from cardboard and placed in situ, for a photo session. I must say.. I am delighted with the way this is progressing, and eagerly look forward to scratch building this structure.
