Folks,

I keep on hearing how dreadful Lima locos are at pulling a train.
Heres one to dispell that myth.

I don't think that's true.

All my lima locos run fine and much better than Hornby locos produced in 80s'.
I have no problem with Lima locos.

My experience of HST125 trians.

I have a set of HST 125 Intercity yellow/blue livery by Hornby about 25 years old.
Its motor was simply dead and the magnet lost at all.
I ended up with replaced a new bogie.

I got another set of HST 125 in Midland Mainline livery by Lima. It can pull
15 coaches easily with no problem. it was made around the end of 90s.

I have a fleet of HO Lima 33s and these are quite capable of pulling 5/6 Fleischmann Bulleid coaches. As I will only be using these on local trains it is not a problem.

However in the mid 80's I had a couple of their OO locos and they were hardly capable of moving themselves - let alone a train.
