Much as admire te craftmanship on this project it's too small for me. (no offence intended). If I was this much stymied for space I'd go Z scale. There was an excellent example at Rail Wells back in August built on multi levels, reverse loops and lots of shunting, all in a space not much larger than your suit case. Problem is you need a magnifying glass to work on your project then !
