At least Bear you will be getting paid as self employed I get nothing from any scheme so spend on railways is deffo on the back burner although I can afford a few bits and spares as yet, meanwhile my OO9 that I built whilst in hospital where I also was not paid is not prospering - as I cannot find anywhere to build it, sort of needs about 6' x 3' minimum and I want a Bachmann Woody Bay station which can always double up as a birthday pressie.

so good luck and well done bjrangi just what I need - mind I have just thought of a cunning plan!

... but good news for you today
I hope it will apply to you
Government finally woke up to the self employed. (It took them long enough to wake up to my category
)

Meanwhile... Most modellers have lots of projects backed up and waiting for time to get round to them... So - hopefully...

I don’t think it is a case of “finally woke up” more a case of stepped increases in coverage of GOV help in the crisis, it would be impossible to bring everything in at once, let alone totally confusing for the public, then again no matter how these steps are explained online GOV.UK.....not everyone will understand (or want to) regardless.

Unfortunately we are a little behind the curve, but that’s the problem with trying to juggle jelly, somebody gets in a mess usually the person juggling.

Huh! All right fer you lot, aparently at 79 I'm not considered "at risk", well I 'aint got no letter telling me I am like wot I thought they said I would . . .

Round 'ere has gone all "up market" save 'fer me, not had a meaningful word from any of these posh pen-pushers for a decade or more, nearest relative is 50 miles away and not a driver.

AND

more important

I'm running out of baccy!

Hi bj,
So great to see you back - even if it took lockdown to get you here. A few weeks ago a bro' from NZ was on here looking for advice about 00 stuff in the Shakies, I said he should try to find you. Hope you are good, mate - I had a couple tonight too. Stay cool. You have the only true leader in the English speaking world - utter legend.

Hi BJ Nice to see you back from the land of the long white cloud. Sad, worrying and testing times still nice all the same. Are you back in the shed with your layout last time I think you had a room in the house . Been enjoying a few beers myself this evening not much else on at the moment . Looks like i'm off work for the next two weeks just hope we all have a job to go back to . But most of all that we can survive this virus and on that point I wish you all well stay safe! Jim

Hi you all,

Thanks guys for the welcome back...the simplest answer to my absence is i just lost my mojo and it was put on hold to a certain extent..all i was doing was a couple of hours at the weekends..the only time i was totally with it was was when i built the extension last year.
Will post picks in the due course.
Well its day 4 of our lock down..will pop out after lunch and continue with the build pics later.
What i am going to post is a very short video of stills from the bench work built early last year..again thanks for your responses and stay safe.

Im not sure if you will actually see the video, if not click on the link and hopefully you have a video!
If all fails could someone give me the process required to post the actual video.

BJ
