Loco Crews

Does any manufacturer make 4mm scale locomotive crew figures suitable for LNER pacifics, i.e. for left hand drive locos with the driver seated? I know Hornby used to produce suitable figures some years ago, but it seems that all the figures on the market now are for GWR or similar [RH drive locos with driver standing].

Hi Jerry

I know this is a bit of a pain but as I have no access to photobucket at the moment, Im on site for the next couple of weeks. If you look under my name you will find a driver and fireman in the LNER Silver with driver seated.

Plessier do a great range and thats what I use. I just buy the unpainted and paint away.

Hope that helps

***Hi Jerry

Martin71 sent me a couple of images to post on the forum for you as he's away (and not on broadband right now so can't do it himself...)

These loco crews are Preiser figures that Martin has painted himself - they don't look out of place even though HO rather than OO scale. here they are:

We sell more HO figures (Preiser & Noch) to OO modellers than to HO modellers - people come in all sizes & in any case, not everyone is 6' tall !

Those figures look really good.

There should be a seated early diesel driver that is in "steam" uniform as well as handed figures leaning out of windows etc .I thought Dart had every angle covered !!!
I had a quick look on the Dart Castings web site at the Monty's Model Railways figures. I think from looking at the collection of figures they have nearly covered every possible loco figure for the Big Four plus BR. Then there is the ordinary figures, enough of them to cover everything as well. I'll just have to order some when the dollar gets a bit better.
