<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Out of interest, given the fairly low cost of new motors these days (almost the same price as a decent decoder) is changing out motors in these projects a more viable option that perhaps we all give credit for?
Hi LF
I noticed a couple of weeks ago, someone selling a large quantity of Fleischmann motors on Feebay
(about 20) most complete with wheel sets for tender driven loco's
so it must be a viable option
The BR 94 that Marek has , must be a 4093 ( 94 956 ) is not that old , made between 1983-1993
I have converted much older Fleischmann Loco's , but as Richard says -not the best on slow speed on DCC -they may be bullit proof but thay do take a little fine tuning , but I have had some work very well even on default settings
with the TCS BEMF decoders I'm still amazed at how good , that BEMF is
