I had a look at one of the set boxes in M and S, the Loco is 35020 Bibby Line, with Car 88, Lucile and Agathe.

A leaflet with their charge card statement clearly shows 30520 on the smokebox plate.

A couple of posters on the RMWeb have noticed that this item is being offered on the M and S site as part of a 3 for price of 2 offer.

By the way, last year the M and S Evening Star set was reduced to £89, from £125 just before Christmas, and the website had some for £49 on Boxing Day. I'm sure I posted something about the prices on the BRM site last Dec. Yet some are being offered for sale on Ebay for £124.99 + postage, and guess what there are no bidders yet.

A couple of years ago a BCRW carriage for the Orient Express was parked in the forecourt of the British Museum, it was palatial inside. I'm not sure how the VSOE set compares to the real thing, but it would be a great challenge to model.
