Maunsell Brake Error
Picked up the new Maunsell brake composite on Saturday (R4320A) and while admiring my new addition noticed an error which is clearly shown on page 70 of the October issue of HM. The hand rail is printed too far up on the corridor glazing. This has been picked up on the RMWeb and Hornby are providing correct glazing if you contact them.
I must also point out an error in the review on page 70 (sorry Mike). The brake composite is a new body tooling and not just different body markings. In comparison with R4305, the brake compartment is shorter and the first compartments larger.

This is old news I'm afraid,-Hornby are rectifying these coaches at the moment,-send your Maunsell BCK back to Hornby using their freepost address and they'll replace the glazing for you..

I actually ordered one of these. But the company I ordered them from is so far down the Hornby pecking order I have no doubt that it will be corrected by the time i get one!!

Is the price of petrol so expensive that it is cheaper to get it posted rather than drive 1 mile to pick it up?

Wish the nearist model shop to me was 1 mile away.
The closest is about 20 minutes by car. My regular supplier is more like 36 hours by taxi, plane, train and bus!

I'm really impressed with Hornby's turnaround - sent mine last Tuesday, and as freepost usually takes longer had expected it in 2-3 weeks. Hornby returned it by recorded delivery, posted Friday, delivered this morning. Great service.

I actually had a couple of days off work so trundled up to Hornby Towers wiyh mine yesterday. Having got through the receptionist with the aid of another member of staff, who knew what I was talking about, I was invited to take a seat and five minutes later had said coach returned with replaced glazing.
