I have a great passion for painting miniature figures (00) and only recently discovered better results being achieved in the use of white metal models to alternative plastics.
Good quality figures, certainly increases character to a layout, even more if the colours used are more realistic and applied properly.
What is your choice between the plastic types and the more expensive white metal.

Unfortunately, pensions being what they are, and because I need so many, I have to go for the plastic figures. Having said that I do find that with a little carefully applied heat, plus careful use of a sharp blade when required, the plastic ones are easy to manipulate into different postures. I have no experience of the white metal kind.
