Model Rail Forum Summer Competition

2545 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Doug

This is what has been lined up as the next prize for Model Rail Forum members.

What a cracking little loco!

All Model Rail Forum members have to do is answer this question correctly and then your name will go in the competition prize draw:

What is the engine number of the locomotive featured on the front cover of the 2005 Hornby catalogue?

Model Rail Forum members who submit correct answers will be entered into the draw once only, so please do not submit multiple entries!

The draw will take place on 23rd July so make sure your answers are in by that date!

Hey guys, you now have just 3 days to go to get your entries in and have a chance of winning the loco.

So if you haven't yet submitted your entry then now is the time to get serious and apply some brainpower to the question.

If you don't enter then you are not going to win!

Happy modelling

So did you all get the answer right?

The loco on the front cover of the 2005 Hornby catalogue is "Hardwick Grange", one of Hornby's brand new GWR Grange Class locomotives launched this year. This has the loco number 6818.

We placed the names of those Model Rail Forum members who answered correctly into a hat (yes, there were a number of wrong answers even though the answer was on the Hornby website!) and one name was drawn out of the hat.

The answer is on the Hornby website (enlarge the image of the catalogue cover when you visit) at:-

http://www.hornbyrailways.com/pages/prod_det.aspx?id=7250

And the first name out of the hat was...

...double00

So well done to double00 who wins the "Ben-Y-Gloe" Highland Railways locomotive.

We will have a new competition in September.

Happy modelling

Well done!

I'm still trying to figure out why I wasn't allowed to enter...
