Browsed as Hornby mag, Model Rail and Railway Modeller all arrived Smiths at same time. Came away with Hornby Mag and Railway Modeller. Why? Both have several layouts in them. Model Rail has 1 (and while looking nice and my period, seemed a bit small to me- shunting plankish. Seems to be lots of articles on peripheral items like catenary and platforms and frankly fed up with class 37s- so while the reviews had me tempted , decided 2 model railway mags was enough, and I bought the best two.
