Model Strip

try squires. since precision brought out their stripper you dont see model strip as much as you used to.

I think my tub of model strip was about £4 but that was about 7 years ago.

If you can't find any Modelstrip you can use Mr Muscle foaming oven cleaner. I used it recently, sprayed onto a wagon body in a sealed plastic box and left overnight. It took off 30year old factory paint and never touched the plastic. I used to make my own paste from powdered Ronstrip but I think it's been withdrawn due to health issues.

How are they delivering it. It can not be sent Royal Mail/Parcel Force so I presume they will have to use a carrier.

Car brake fluid works well too that I have used in the past on plastic bodies.
Always test first on any thing you use.

I to have used the brake fluid technique, however some of the modern synthetics don't work.

From one Steve to another I totally agree with the Mr Mustle approach. I've used it loads of times to strip paint from the rails on Peco points. Brings 'em up like new and doesn't effect the plastic one iota.

I will bare the Mr Muscle foaming oven cleaner idea in mind but at the moment I dont want to strip all of the paint off a model just a small amount and I can control the amount of striper I apply with Model Strip.
