From above the 0-8-0 'austin 7' would be of interest so although some lasted but a short time others paid themselves back so this is a yes from me!

Maybe time for an update, I have cut out the whimsical wishful thinking selection and concentrate on what is possible or announced or is circulating inside Simon Kohlers bonce such as a rebuilt crosti.

I'd be inclined to move quickly on the N7 and J27, both still available retail under the hundred quid mark. Can't see that price lasting much longer under Hornby's ownership...
My own rather less ambitious list looks like being dominated by rollng stock in the near future, Heljan's Newton Chambers car carriers leading the charge, a very KX-centric release while carrying BR maroon. Then there's Hornby's Coronation vehicles, Accurascale's BR mk1 57' all compartment stock, and I might spring for a Rapido LMS D1666 general merchandise open in the hope that encourages them to 'move forward in time' to the final LMS/BR type with the part steel ends

I have the N7 already but the J27 is hard to come by well especially late BR crest version which I prefer. I collect a Black 5 tomorrow (snow allowing) so thats a Christmas present to me - yippee!

What am I talking about, I collect 9F 92194 tomorrow not sure the Black 5 is out yet but clearly a case of wishful thinking anyway a review if said loco yet to come. - vs Bachmann effort current model rail champion.

Great news just picked up my new 9F 92194 so photos will follow and also bought a decoder not my usual goto but a Gaugemaster 21 pin so I'll see how that goes as well, I usually get Bachmann for 21 pinners and DCCConcepts for the 8 pin as I find the nano can fit anything, I have also come across an X4026 so can upgrade one of my Black 5's with a knackered motor.
