Hi all

Well I'm back
I want to introduce to you my new shelf layout that me and Andy (frame69) started to work on when he came up to my new house in Shrewsbury to see me for a few days this last week. Thanks Andy and it was great to see you again
.

Well here are a few pictures just to whet your appetites. Please be advised that the track plan certainly may change in the near future but it was good while Andy was over here to have a bit of shunting etc.

Hope you like the taster for now, please do come back again for another look soon.

Kind regards

Paul

Hi Paul, it's good to hear you're settled in to your new home and resuming modelling.

Just one question, is it really your layout? I don't see any 37s....

Look forward to seeing more

Hi Guys and thanks for all the kind words.

David, your'e right of course I should have 37's on the layout! don't worry there will be plenty in due course

John, No this will be a stand alone shelf layout as where it is based will be my 'N' gauge layout running underneath

Brian & Chris, Yes it's great that I can start modelling again! I have done nothing but work on the house and garden since we moved in July! My wife Sue (bless her) says that I can't be working all my time off and that I should have at least one day to do what I want.

Oh and here is a short video showing Andy's (frame69) shunter and Hornby Hymek shunting the layout. Just click on the video window and it should start.

Kind regards
Paul

Hi Paul

I have in mind a similar sized shed for storing new street. Are there any planning permission issues with a shed this big?

Cheers

I'd have thought you would need a couple of those bolted together, especially with a layout of that size!!!!!

QUOTE (frame69 @ 31 Oct 2010, 17:03) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hi Jim. I think Paul needed planning permission because of its location, forward of the house I think he said. Im sure he'll be along soon to correct me.

No need to correct you mate you are absolutely right. The exact phrase however is

"No building to be in front of the forward elevation of the house"

So you see Jim it is not a size problem just as to where I want to put my shed. Oh and your outbuildings should not take up more than half of your garden coverage!

Thanks Mike, Nick and Trevor

I am very much looking forward to building this small shelf layout and rest assured there will be plenty of picture updates as I go along! Unfortunately though I do still have to go to work so progress will be a bit slow methinks.

Kind regards

Paul
