From a married man of 10 years I offer this one point of advice.
If you see a model in a shop window, you should take the time to stop, admire it, point out its good and bad points to your new wife, enter the shop and buy something. This should be repeated at every hobby shop you pass. Multiple purchases at the same shop is allowed
