N Gauge Newb

You people are just not going to believe how many questions and how much help I'm going to need! I know nothing.

Have had an idea to do an N Gauge layout. So much I need to know but glad to have found you all!

Don't worry - we all had to start somewhere and didn't have the internet when I started!

Anyhow welcome to MRF and ask away, we're normally a pretty friendly bunch and will always attempt to steer you in the right direction.

Anyway Nice to see another person wanting to go the N gauge side. You will find a load a great help on here and everyone is friendly as well. And don't worry about asking questions, if you don't know something there is always someone who will know or know someone who will have the answer.

Do you have any ideas of what you are looking for like is it going to be a british layout or is it going to be foreign. There are plenty of usefull links on here as well.

Hi Hip Hop and welcome to the MRF from a fellow N gauger.

Although not new to railway modelling I am relatively new to N Gauge and am amazed at the quality of locos and rolling stock available these days.

Personally I model post WWII GWR but let us have some idea of your layout ideas and the space you have available and I'm sure the members here will have you up and running in no time.

If in doubt or you need some help and advice then just ask away. Always remember, the only stupid question is the one that's never asked and hence, never answered.
