QUOTE (Trainbuffy @ 24 May 2007, 10:35) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hi
I have a NCE Power Cab Rve. 1.28 Iam thinking of upgreading to a NCE Pro Cab by buying a power house with a booster and then useing the Power Cab handset with the Powerhouse.Have any member done this? and with what results.
Tony
Hi Tony I suppose first question must be why do you need to upgrade to the Pro Cab? If the power cab will not run as many loco's as you want ie more than two or three at once then fair enough but if you don't intend to run more than that at one time why bother? At our club we have the Pro Cab with two controllers and I take my Power cab controller down there and it works fine along side the others. If the number of loco's on your layout drawing current is bothering you then if it is any help I have 10 loco's on my layout all the time drawing current some with lights on and two or three running (I am not capable of concentrating on running more at one time) and the Power cab copes without a problem.
Not sure if this helps but I thought I would offer it up anyway.
