60040 has emerged in plain red livery and branded DB Schenker on the cab side. It is also branded for the Army as apparently its being re named at York on Saturday 14th.

Not sure if this is the start of a full rebranding for EWS or if its just another livery vatiation on a 60

Just caught the end of the local lunch news on itv, EWS have launched this new loco at the NRM today with a naming cermoney Prince Andrew and called it "Teritorrial Army" in honor of the TA birthday this year, if any one has sky or lives in the Calendar News area, it should be on the tea time news. No luck finding it on the web yet so unable to post a link

Before the name was unveiled:

60040
I think it looks good - certainly it brings out the lines of the loco. It will be interesting to see a close up of the other end.

Regards
Got to admit that it looks smart - be nice to think that it will be kept in that condition !
Take the army branding away and you have a plain looking colour scheme, shame on you who used to moan about b.r plain blue! In my eyes large engines need a colour break, remeber what a difference that red stripe made to the old railfreight livery?
