2hrs of my modelling evening he took from me, in that time, all I had to say was, "Up a bit", "down a bit" via live video, by then, it was midnight.

Rather weakly, I recall, until I suggested you clear your garage, chop the one you were building,in half, and expand it, in to what you have now,see it worked

Nice...........Were you eating an Aero bar @ the time of instal of the latest back scene ?

Could be quite effective,............... with a few very tall modern road lamps, security fencing (Etched brass,Scalelink) in front of the
large grey area.
Are you happy with the depth of field ?
How are you going to transit from the left of the "scene", sky, buildings or the expanse of The North Sea.
Is it supposed to represent Tees Port ?

Well I can not see a Transit van anywhere

on a lighter note the backscene looks very good

**** Looking good Anthony. Liked your "How to" on the tracklaying too.

Re spray glues - they can work really well but you really do need a sealed surface and preferably a gloss one for them to stick to. Your "alternative" of a PVA and water or even a bog standard wallpaper glue are the fix on unsealed timber as you have found.... The water based answer is also way more forgiving in allowing a wee bit of moving and adjusting so probably the best answer for most.

Hi Anthony,

I fully agree with dt's suggestion of the addition of security fencing along the front edge of the grey tarmac section of the backscene / back of the layout, along with some tall lights, maybe some yard lights; this would certainly be likely to add great depth, & break the eye line.It would look very much like when you drive around the Northern perimeter roads at Heathrow. The detailed security fences now available would be excellent, but for the length you need may cost a few bob !!!!!

A few strategically placed warning signs on the fence might also enhance the feel.

Also you may want to add some cctv cameras / etc; & perhaps the odd bit of low level greenery ........

But its obviously your call at the end of the day being Chief Jurrer !

Cheers,

Norm

Richard - Thanks for the comments .... when I used the spray glue on my test track thats in the house it has worked very well but its pva and water for the garage

Norman - dt is just repeting what I told him I was going to do over the phone
..... I do have fencing for the full length of that area and street lighting im just not convinced its the right backscene for that area, Im going to pop down to teesport and see what I cam create myself

Having had a second both eyes open this time look it may be a bit over scale when looking at the trucks it may need to set the building back a bit more.

Hi George,

Trust me this is not even 2% of what I have collected over the past 20 years... I was one of those people who just kept buying stuff with the intension of one day using it ..... it just took 15 years to start using it

I have a hole load more to get rid of yet so keep some cash in reserve :)
