A bit more slow progress :)

I have started to add some scenic detail ... this is just the first stage as I need to add fences and more bushes etc ..

I use static grass and one of those electric things that makes the grass stand up so on with the watered down PVA :-

Then the grass :-

As you can see it does stand up ... im using a mix of 2mm mixed greens and brown and 6 mm brown/green for the dead long grass :-

The full hill grassed :-

Then the trees, I did a bit of testing with humbrol colours and picked 2 that looked ok now I know that these trees are not the best but I just can't bring myself to pay the kind of cash some of you pay for the more realistic looking ones ....

And this is what they look like in place :-

So still lots of extras to add to the base of the trees and the lower edge of the hill but its a start :)

Looks good to me Anthony
.

Can I suggest one thing though mate, next time before you use the static grass applicator could you not cover the track with some masking tape so that it stops it going all over it?

Otherwise it looks brill, as Alan said very realistic.

Kind regards

Paul

I think the trees look great mate - don't see any reason to spend any more than you did, I'd be happy with those for sure

If you look at post 3618 on the Dover Priory thread you will see that there is a fair amount of weeds and grass on track in real life so I wouldn't be overly bothered - railway lines are rarely pristine in reality.
