Hi there, yes I program using the Z21, have a prog track which I also use for wheel cleaning, with hundreds of locos I use the 4 digit codes, I often code on the ESU decoder device to code them up
and here is the prog track to the right
As to sound I tried this but simply does not sound correct on express locos esp Gresley 3 cyl types and as I run 8 circuits I decided it would be too much to have them all sound and anyway I play period music instead, always very fond of the Tornados etc.
As to the big model it is 1962 on a ficticious GCR avoiding line joint with the GWR whilst the main line is the Central Lines Committee GCR joint with the Midland and the Great Northern. (sort of based on the Cheshire Lines)

I also have a DC only OO9 Lynton and Minehead Railway a Col Stevens effort dates for mid May 1926 (the busiest passenger traffic week in British public transport history)
